This is an office-based role in Weston-super-Mare, hours of work are Monday-Friday 9:00am- 5:30pm (one-hour lunch break). There are 33 days holiday which include bank holidays and a competitive salary based on previous experience.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the first point of customer contact, ensuring that all customer phone and email support requests are entered into our incident ticketing system

  • Resolve technical incidents based on your level of expertise and escalate issues as needed to higher level technicians and/or other departments

  • Support employee inquiries regarding customer reported technical issues

  • Communicate the status of issues to customers

  • Support customers with software advice and training

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Qualifications or experience in Information Technology, or related field

  • Good knowledge of current and historical versions of MS Windows operating systems

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of TCP/IP Networking

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills

  • Exceptional customer service skills including the ability to translate technical jargon into layman’s terms

  • The ability to take ownership of issues

 

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

Non-essential skills that would prove to be a great asset to the role

  • Experience using CRM and/or helpdesk software systems

  • Knowledge or experience with command line, shell & DOS

  • Basic accounts knowledge or experience using an account’s package

  • Basic SQL and Database skills
